This week we visited NCAA D1 University of Maryland to tour their facilities and speak with current forward Max Riley.

Heading to DC enabled us to visit two schools in the local area, Maryland being the first. Max showed us around as we toured the Soccer Stadium, Indoor Dome Facility, Football Stadium, Weights Room, Athletic Centre, Locker Room, and the Training Facility.

A prestigious program that boasts 4 national championships on top of multiple conference honors. Behind the scenes it’s clear to see why UMD has had such success.

With 55 MLS Draft picks and 18 selections in the last 19 Drafts, the proof is clear. This is a university setup that produces professional soccer players and everything is geared towards that goal.

With a dedicated soccer field boasting arguably the largest attendances in the nation, kitted out weights room and great university facilities, it is an eye opening spot.
